To be or not to be an "Outlaw"

Today Mike and Beth took me to a place called Northfield, MN. I guess a long, long time ago back in the days of the wild west there was a gang of outlaws called the James and Younger gang. They were outlaws and went around doing not so good things. Anyway, Beth told me the story on the way there. She said one day this gang came into this little town to rob the bank and when they tried the bank people told them that the vault was locked and they didn't know the combination. Well, guess what!?! It wasn't locked and the outlaws didn't know it. They did shoot and kill two people but they got away and with NO money. Now every year this town honors the people that were killed that day for being brave. AND they do a reenactment of what happened with guns and horses and everything so we can see what happened way back then. Isn't that about the coolest thing you've ever heard of! It was so much fun! I told Beth it would be cool to be an outlaw. She said they were not good people and they hurt people and stole money and stuff from others. That's NOT nice. So I decided I didn't want to be an outlaw. I decided I would be a good guy. So I met up with the sheriff (no, not Scott Turner, another one....an old west one). I stood next to him but I kept an eye on some outlaws behind us. I wanted him to know I was doing a good job!
This is the outlaws coming into town.... This is an outlaw shooting two real guns....

This is a good guy going to see what was going on....

This guy....well, this is what can happen to outlaws when they are bad!

They had these flags up all over....
After all that excitement there was even more. I got to go to the arts festival there and SO many people stopped to talk to me! I loved it! I met a lot of new friends....

Then on the way back home when we were driving by the lakes I think all the bugs in the world hatched because for miles and miles there were swarms of bugs that looked like cyclones....icky....

I am really tired! It's been quite the day! I will have happy things to think about tonight in my dreams. And I just heard Beth tell Mike we are going to another festival tomorrow! They are going to wear me out. Better go and get a treat and hit the hay (that means go to bed). Later. Remington -- The Regulator NOT an outlaw -- OUT!

Wow, that sounds very exciting!!! I'm glad you decided to be one of the good guys. It is also really great that you can let people talk to you. I tend to get too excited when I am around new people, but I'm working on it!
