I come today with a heavy heart....
This weekend turned out to be a
most sad time....
Saturday we were going to take a
quick trip to LaCrosse....
While driving down the road....
out of a ravine next to the road a
deer leaped out and hit our van.
The damages done to the van are
not that of big deal to us
BUT what happened to the deer is....
BUT what happened to the deer is....
We didn't see her and I am certain she
didn't know where she was leaping when
leaving the ravine. It happened so fast....
She ran right into the drivers side....
Mike stopped and ran out to see if
she was okay but it was too late.
We all cried....
The Sheriff arrived and made a report
of the accident.
He said he would take care
of contacting the deers family.
He was very sad.

I talked to Daisy when I got back home
and she said she didn't think she was a relative as
she hadn't heard anything yet.
We went back later and she was gone....
I guess her family came and got her.
We are so sorry this happened....
So today I may not be visiting anyone's
blog....I have to get the van fixed....

It must have been quite an impact, judging from the damage to the van.

Oh Remington, that is so typical of you and your family to think more of the poor deer than what happened to your car, even though it sustained so much damage. Mum would have been just the same. We know how much you love all living things and we send big hugs, hope you are all okay.

Oh Rem!!!! I am so very sorry. I know all of you must be very shaken. We hit a deer a couple years ago, we were in a small car. It was on my passenger side and I saw his eye look at me as we hit him. It is a really big shock. I am so glad you were in a van and not a small car and that you are all safe and well!!!!

Oh that is very sad. So sorry. I had the same thing happen to me several years ago. It was 6 months after I had gotten my new car and it ended up being over $10,000 worth of damage.

Hi Sweety, I am so sorry to read this. I am glad that all of you are ok and safe. I talked to my deer friends Fawna and Callie, but they didn't know who it might be. Call me later if you are feeling up to it please. I loved your treats you made and I miss you as always. I hope you don't mind but they wanted a picture of us for the Valentine Ball over at Rangers place so I sent them one with both of us, that my Mom fixed up. I hope that was ok, if not I will tell them not to use it.
