I am taking my daily break to
listen to the old radio shows they
play from 11:00 - 12:00 each weekday
on our local AM station.
Some are funny, some are westerns and
the best are the mysteries!
They even sound better on our
old radio.
This radio is over 75 years old.
They certainly don't make them like
they use too....

Wow, the radio looks great. I don't really listen to radio as the peeps don't switch it on often. Dad likes to switch on his ipod and I've to listen to his favourite music.

have not heard a show like this since i was listening to them live way back when. looks to me like you slept through most of it... i did not know they have these on. i used to listen to the squeaking door and scare myself silly... i love the radio, it is beautiful and i can't beleive it still works.
I love those shows, but we don't get them here at all.

My MOM listens sometimes. But they only play very very late on the weekends. Like at 1AM. I admit, I fall asleep.

Does it have a little EVIL glowing light at the very bottom? My mom says THAT used to scare the poops outta HER when she was little and her BIG brother would turn out the Lights and listen to the SCARY SHADOW show. Only the SHADOW KNOWS....

Oh gosh, Rem! When I was growing up, we used to have a big floor model radio that looked just like this!!!! I wonder what happened to it? Wish we had it now.
We have one of those up in our attic. It used to belong to dad's mom and she listened to it all the time. Maybe we need to haul it down and see if it still works! It's not as tall as yours is, Remington.

That is one very nice old radio. One of our local stations used to play some of the old broadcasts but they don't do it now. The shows were fun to listen to.
