Thursday....

The weather is suppose to be getting
HOT!

So I figured I best go and check out all my flowers.

These are my butterfly bushes.
They certainly are getting big.

The fairies are busy in the herb garden.

And the Gnomes are always friendly
and welcome everyone!

Just last week my plant looked like this....

And now....

AND some of my favorite
purple flowers!

And one of Beth's favorites!

I think they are coming along pretty good.

Had some more visitors in Zone 3
last night.

Shortly after we took this picture
a mommy skunk and her baby came over too.
(Mike's favorite!)
It was too dark to get a picture by then.

Yep!
They were ALL out there together --
plus a feral cat....

Everyone gets along in Zone 3 --
it's just THAT type of place....

Oh yeah -- one more surprise....

Beth puts little carriers around Zone 3
just in case someone needs a place to sleep --
She has this thing about taking care of
EVERYONE!
(that's one thing I really like about her....)

Any way -- she had put a carrier on the deck
just in case someone needed a quiet place
for the night.  And when she got up the other
morning much to her surprise this is what she saw....

One of the feral cats that had been around
had her babies about a week ago.
We didn't know what happened to her
but guess she needed some peace and quiet.

There are two orange ones in there.
We don't know how long they will stay
but Beth said they can stay as long as they want.
Ozabella and I lay by the
window and watch them.
They sure are cute!

Later -- Remington --
it feels so good to help others
-- out!

this post brought tears of joy to my eyes, the kitties in the crate and the fox and raccoon sitting together just made me so happy. Rem you are blessed to live with an animal lover. if only people could get along like zone 3 residents, what a world we would have. i love all the purple flowers and Beth's favorites we have in our back yard and since we have had rain we have 3 spots of brilliant purple. ours are in the ground not the pots. I love the shot with all the pots of purple.

all those flowers are so beautiful, especially the lilies. Mom tries to grow those here but the rabbits eat them before they can even bloom.

How wonderful that your Mom is so kind to all the animals. What a great find that must have been for the mama kitty.

Zone 3 needs to grow like your butterfly bushes do and reach the far corners of everywhere! : )
Not only do you have a gorgeous garden but it is filled with more than just beauty of the flowers within, but with the spirit it is sewn. So very very cool.

Lilies and more! Wonderful flowers for summer. I discovered that my first time mommy kitty has 6 babies. It is amazing that the litter survived our awful spring. My advice-stay away from the skunks, they smell BAD! ♥♫

I have not seen a feral cat this year!! I think it is b/c they are building houses out back. I can't see them but I can hear them.
I still have my fox and coons. Not near as many as usual but 4 coons I feed every night. and the fox.
Your flowers are beautiful!! It has been so HOT HOT here that the garden is not what it has been in other years. We have had it over 100 degrees almost everyday since May. Very little rain!! The only thing that loves this heat are the strawberries. They have been so good this year!!

Rem, Beth is so very cool, she is an earth mother to every living creature, and a lot of times her blog readers reap the benefits! What is Ozabella's opinion of the kitties? I LOVE your yard pictures, your gardens are just charming!!! What is the beautiful orange flower? And the fourth picture with the little white table, I LOVE that. What IS the beautiful hanging yellow globe? I enlarged it several times. At first I thought it was a hanging gazing ball, but it looks like a hummingbird feeder! I am in love with it, it reminds me of the bird life savers I posted a couple weeks ago.

Your yard and all of the flowers are so pretty, we really like those lilies. Remington, your Zone 3 is such a wonderful place. All the little creatures know they are safe there. Mama kitty knew she could bring her babies into the world in peace and quiet.

All of our neighborhood ferals have been captured and fixed so no kittens here this year. But we did see baby possums the other night.
