New friends....

While I was out on Remington Drive today
I heard this honking noise....
I looked all over
and then I spotted my new friends in our yard....

Meet Hansel and Gretel....
They are called a Canadian Honker Goose .
I suppose it's because they honk....ha ha!

They just stopped in for the afternoon to visit!
It was so nice to see them!
I wished them well on their journey.

Later -- Remington --
I have the coolest friends!
 -- out!

We have a nature reserve (Bosque del Apache)not far from Albuquerque where Canada Snow Geese and Honkers overwinter with Sandhill Cranes, Whooping Cranes, and Eagles. It is amazing to visit...and VERY loud. I love hiking at the Bosque there and watching the wildlife...you are so lucky to have it all in your own backyard!

Hi Beth, I love cats too and have had them most of my life. Usually more than one at a time, it has just happened that way this time. The only cat that was not a stray was Tiger all the rest of all my cats just found me.
I see the geese every once in a while but there is no water close to our land so not very often. I put out fresh water everyday of the year for many many animals. We never go anywhere ever!!
