Today is the 1st day of winter....
also called
Winter Solstice.
This marks the shortest day and
the longest night of the year.
I must say this is my
favorite season....
you know, with the snow and all....
When you have difficulties in life....
like losing all of your snow....
just
and things can start going your way....
We got it 10 fold!

It wasn't just snow it was a BLIZZARD!
And it wasn't just "a blizzard"....
they named it....Draco!
10 inches of snow....
50 mile an hour winds....
Santa certainly gives BIG gifts!
We had quite the day, however,
we didn't have any electricity....
that meant Beth didn't get her
coffee right away....
(not good!)
we got stuck trying to leave our driveway....
I mean we REALLY got stuck....
AND
a tree fell across the road!
now it is all cleared!

I stopped by and talked to Santa.
I explained to him some of the
reasons you may be on his
naughty list and he understood

Hi Sweety, I am so happy you got snow!! I am giddy just thinking of you out there. We got snow too so that will make the sleigh ride even more romantic. I hope we can snuggle up close. Will you keep me warm? Of course you will. I can't wait to see you and show you off to my neighbor pals. I have many deer friends so I hope Miss Daisy and her family can come and meet Miss Darlene and her family. I hope Beth gets her coffee. See you soon.

Oh Rem I'm so sorry...I ordered you snow but I had nothing to do with the power (poor Beth no coffee) nor did I say anything to anyone about knocking a tree over your drive. Dang Buddy and and Mike had a mess but you were Pros cleaning it up.

Oh boy did you ever get snow!! We have the high winds and just a bit of snow, but we'll take what we can get! I used to love it years ago when we got snowed in.
