we know squirrels are not to be trusted here in FL, but since Simon is so cute, i vote second chance. of course that is because he can't reach our fruit trees from way up there

Hummm that is a tough one. I am all for 2nd chances. After all I was given a 2nd and even 3rd chance before MOM found me and gave me a chance. And I turned out just fine. But this is a squirrel after all. I am not sure that rule applies.

The squirrels in my woods entertain Jodie Belle and Maddy Jean a lot.
With Jodie just being a young lady ( 9 ms ) she is always telling me where they are and what they are doing.
Barking in her Collie voice of course.

I would give him another chance. He seems like a fine chap.
Rem, you said it yourself. Simon is Simon. Love him for who he is and gently set boundaries when you need to but never close your heart.
Well, squirrels will be squirrels but Simon was out of line with his recent behavior.
There are help groups available. Have him contact us and we will get him in touch with the local chapter if he is ready to change. :)
