Zone 3

I have been so busy lately that
I have neglected to share pictures of my
friends that come to visit in Zone 3.

We still have birds, deer, fox,
skunk (yes they should be in bed for the winter but
they still come and visit every night....
just like last winter), raccoons,
the occasion bear and feral cats....

I thought I would
share a few shots with you....

And Beth's favorite --
the pileated woodpecker....

When they sing they
have a different type of song....
it IS cool though!
Have you ever heard it?

This is Will....

He is a feral cat.  He comes up on the deck
almost every day to see Ozabella.
They sit and look at each other for a long time
through the patio door.
I think he likes her.
However, he won't let Beth get close to him.
Sometimes he stays in the heated houses we
provide for the feral cats in Zone 3.
He is a very handsome boy!

I enjoy my friends in Zone 3!

Oh and Willy the Weather Stick
says....

more nice weather!

I wish he would tell me
SNOW!

Later -- Remington --
thankful for all of my friends!
--out!

Thanks for the wonderful bird pictures. Beautiful. And thanks for introducing us to Will... He looks a little chilly in that one picture, so I'm glad you told me that he can go in the heated building in Zone 3. Otherwise, I would have worried a little about him.

Have a great day, pal.

We have lots of critters in our backyard too Remington!! That Will sure is an attractive kitty! How nice that you all keep a heated house out there in Zone 3 for them! We have been banned from the yard for a couple of days because Miss Chloe decided to CHASE the neighbor's Princess kitty all the way home and she didn't listen when mama called. Hope you get some snow soon!! Love that weather stick!

Wonderful pics of your friends in Zone 3, especially the Blue Jay and Pileated Woodpecker!
Very cool to have them in your own backyard!!
Amazing that you have inside cats and outside cats! Those must be hearty felines!!
So nice of Beth to give them a shelter from the cold!
I wish Willy would tell you more snow was coming, too, Big Guy!

Mom has never seen Pileated Woodpecker in person but she is hopefully. She does hear them in the
woods at the bottom of our cul-de-sac.
Zone 3 is very busy this time of year.

First of all I love your pictures of your critters there in zone 3.

What is zone three.

And you know I bought a weather stick and it is always up - does your move?

And you have a heated area for the feral cats in your area?

You are amazing!

We love all your visitors, but maybe not the skunks so much:) Your mom is very kind to those feral cats - Poor Will looks cold.

We might, just maybe, get some snow on Monday. All we are hearing is maybe an inch - but that's is twice as much as we have had so far:) We will take it.

You have lots of cool friends. We get birds and the coyotees live on the other side of our back fence. A bear used to eat our bird food but I think they came and got him.

I worry about your feral cat. I hope he stays warm in your snowy world.
