Last weekend update....

Last weekend update from
the long 4th of July weekend.

If you remember a few weeks ago on one of
my Thinking Tuesday's I wanted to start
a winery....well, instead of just dandelion wine
I thought why not some grapes....

What do you think?
Nice vineyard, huh?

Beth said we would probably just make
jelly.  I told her that would be fine
and maybe she could find a good
recipe from my famous cookbook....
The grapes should be ready in August.

Here is what they look like now....

Wait....was that an airplane?
Nope, false alarm.

Hopefully they will be nice and big
by the time Bailey and Trevor
come to stay with me!

Ozabella finished her chores....

not only did she have to scrub the floor....
she had to wash clothes too....

She is all caught up on her work now so
we can rest....

Later -- Remington --
it was a GREAT weekend!
-- out!

What I love is how you all work as a family. Each has their chores to do and they do it.
This is good.

OMDs REM!!! You are the most industrious and smart puppy we now. A vineyard is a great idea.
NC has nearly 100 vineyards/wineries. Most folks don't realize that either. In Aug. Mom and Dad will be visiting their best buds in the Yadkin Valley vineyard area about 2 hours from here. Their friends have a small vineyard and sale their graps to local wineries. They also make their own delicious blueberry wine which is delicious. Good luck with your venture grapes are a very profitable crop.

Ozabella is welcomed to do laundry anytime here.
Hugs Madi

Mom says she used to love to play under the grapevines in her neighbor's yard - great hiding place until the crabby old lady comes and yells at you to get out of her yard:( Bet Trevor and Baily will love those grapes too. Happy grape gathering!

Oh Remington, if you have a vineyard does that mean you are a vintner? Our area has many vineyards with tasting rooms all around the downtown area. We think the jelly sounds tastier!

Very talented kitty and a regal Remington by the vines. Nice photos! : )

Grapes are good but not for pups! Be sure your wildlife friend don't nibble them all away before Bailey and Trevor come to visit. I think it is wonderful that every member of the family has chores, we do too! It makes nap time after so delightful!

bichonpawz said...

We always enjoy looking at your pictures...and the ones of Ozabella too!! Good thing you and Oz got all your chores done so you could have some nap time too!! Your winery looks like it is coming along good and we think your jam sounds terrific! We do that when we see planes too!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
