The Visitor....

We woke up the other morning to
find we had an
unexpected visitor in Zone 3.

Beth said from what it
looked like it was a bear.

Like this....

What?
Oh, okay then....
Beth said not that kind of bear....

Just a black bear -- like this....

He must of been hungry because he
kinda made a mess
and now I have to go and clean it up.

Beth said if she would have known she would
have put a plate of food out for him.

We never know what is going to
come out of the Magic Forest....

Later -- Remington --
he kinda looks like me....
-- out!

Oh my stars Rem...what a mess you have we are so sorry he tore up all your pretty feeding stations. After seeing this Mom is no longer mad at our squirrels. If she saw evidence that a bear had been in our yard she'd be running for the hills. The wildest thing we have had in the yard is a fox and once a deer ran through the front yard.

Thank goodness all of the residents in Zone 3 are safe.

Wow! That is a mighty big visitor you had Remington! I had no idea that you get bears in Zone 3!

he does look like you. its a good thing beth did not put out food, it is dangerous to feed bears and in FL it is against the law to feed them or alligators. it makes them come to the areas where humans live and then they end up in trouble. he sure did make a mess, and he does look like you but not nearly as handsome

We have birds visiting, but never a bear.... I'm not sure I'd like to meet one of those face-to-face. You are very brave -- of course you are about a ga-zillion times bigger than me. So maybe he doesn't look so bad to you.

Oh my gosh, he wrecked the place!!! Did Beth actually see him, or did he come in the night? Magic woods...that's a little bit TOO much magic for me!!! We have bears around here that get into people's garages, and one broke into the kitchen. We live at the foot of Bear Mountain, no joke!

Hey Remington!
Wow, a bear!! That's totally cool. I'd rather have a bear in the bird feeders than a squirrel any day! I'd love to see a pix next time!

Oh my goodness Remington, your Magic Forest is filled with all sorts of wonderful creatures. All of the bears here stay closer to the hills.

Jed and Abby in MerryLand said...

He must have been REALLY hungry, to tear up everything looking for food. Good thing the deer weren't there at the same time. Maybe it was a mama bear looking for food so she could feed her cubs? Still, we'd sure think twice before setting up a bear feeding station in the yard. If nothing else, it could be so dangerous for the bears if they got used to humans and got the wrong idea that all humans are as nice as Beth & Mike.
