Zones....

All indications point to
Spring finally arriving!

How do I know this you ask....

As you can see the snow is melting and
in Zone 4....Lake Larry has arrived!

For all of you new to the Zones around
our house here is a recap....

Zone 1 -- front yard where I play football

Zone 2 -- This is where Remington Drive is....
this is my area to plant flowers and herbs.
There is also a suburb called Gnomeville.

Zone 3 -- This is our wild animal sanctuary.
I am NOT allowed there.
I can only observe from the tower (deck) or kitchen window.
This is for the feral cats, deer, fox, skunk and
anyone else that needs food, water or shelter.
It is right by the Magical Forest.

Zone 4 -- the first picture....
this is between our house and our neighbors
whose name is Larry.
When it rains a lot or when the snow
melts we have a huge puddle of water.
Hence -- Lake Larry.

I hope this will help you in understanding
what I am talking about this summer.
I tend to refer to our "Zones" a lot.

Later -- Remington --
off to walk around in Zone 1....
-- out!

Thanks for the ZONE info, now I will be able to track you when reading your blog. All my zones are completly covered with that 'white stuff' again this morning ~ about two to three inches worth. Temps are supposed to hit 50 today so the snow should be short lived. Yea!

Yay Rem
Did you ship the rest of your snow to the North Pole? Thank goodness we see green and Lake Larry. Mom and I were amazed to see the skunk in Zone 3 during the day. We had no idea they would come out like that.

Glad you're finally getting some Spring-ish weather! Thanks for the run down on the zones. Holy moly, I thought that was a REAL lake when I saw that first picture! Looks like Larry may have some drainage issues in his yard... :) Have fun playing in it though!

Zone 3 looks like a good place to stay away from, especially given the creatures that are in that picture!

We hope lake Larry doesn't get too big!

Have fun, perhaps you can convince Beth and Mike for a soak in Lake Larry?

You should have a paddleboat for Lake Larry; that way you and Ozabella could gently float and sun yourselves while sipping brightly colored Spring-y beverages! Your Yard and all its Zones are awesome!

The foxes, skunks, raccoons, and opossums come right up to my back door and seem to like my backyard, so I try not to have too much food out for them-they can be rather greedy! The visitors I'm not fond of have no feet and are low to the ground. Hope Lake Larry is dry soon so you can romp on the grass.♥♫

Lake Larry too funny! I like your Zones Remington. Thinkin with those skunks in Zone 4 it's probably a good thing you don't go there ;)

Hi Remington, glad to hear spring has finally arrived at your place. You've got some great zones, thanks for the tour. We think Zone 3 is very cool and it's super nice of you, Beth & Mike to provide this for the animals.

Hi, I will try the vanilla and water for bug spray, i am allergic to chemical bug sprays, and have been using skin so soft from Avon, in water. it helps some. thanks for the info i like the smell of vanilla better than skin so soft
