Christmas Brunch!

This year I hosted a
Christmas Brunch
in Zone 3!

I am not allowed in Zone 3 but
I supervised Beth so it was
set up the way I wanted it and I
sent out all the invitations.

Not everyone could make it but the grey fox
said they would stop by after dark so I
left some goodies out for them.

I hummed Christmas carols through the
window while the party was going on.

Here are some Brunch Party shots for you....

The birds were the first to show up.

The feral cats were late and the
birds decided to go and get them....

They were still getting ready
 but were there shortly....

The deer were right on time.

They said they had even met Rudolph!
Oh, the stories they told!

Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal
enjoyed all the treats....

Mr. Squirrel seemed to enjoy the sunflower seeds!

Three of the birds sang a
beautiful song they had written....

It was VERY good!
Wow, the harmonies were GREAT!
They are certainly some talented birds!

We had such a nice festive day!

This is Paul.
He said he would help out
next year if I would host another one!
I said "It's a deal!"

Later -- Remington --
the Party Planner
-- out!

Remington....all we can say is it is a good thing you are a big beautiful puppy...so that gigantic, kind loving heart of yours has lots of space to beat.

What a beautiful set of pictures and commentary to go along with the pictures. Mom said Beth should write a children's book this is a beautiful story. Please give your assistant a
'well done'.

Well that's a motley crew of partygoers! I think Paul is quite adorable. Next time you see him, tell him he's invited to my house anytime. Same for the cardinals. But Mr. Squirrel? Well, let's just keep this quiet, K?

Gosh, that's quite an eclectic group! I didn't know you have feral cats, too? We have a feral cat that lives in our yard/alley. He has about three different yards (and people feeding him). Mama has tried to convince him to give up his wild ways and join our family, but he is not interested.

Your pal, PIp

What a huge sucess your party was, Rem!! Paul and those other birds look a lot like baby starlings!! But how could there be baby birds this time of year? Rem, you need to switch over to research mode for this one!

I just can't get over the variety of wildlife you have in your garden, you must sit there transfixed watching them all. Do the feral cats have a warm place they go when it's snowing?
Thanks Beth for your comments about the knitting, I am enjoying it very much. I have made a beret, a chunky jumper, a cardigan I have to sew up and am knitting another cardigan at the moment. I also wan't to start making a few things with the sewing machine too (should be interesting, lol.) I am very impressed you make your own needles! Lynne

Wow Remington, you really know how to throw a party. All of the guests look like they are having a wonderful time.

The feral kittens look to be about the same age as the six little ones we have here. At the moment they are snuggled up warmly in a box on our patio.

You know I love the squirrel photo.

Have a great weekend!
