Some of you may not know this but
I have never had a bath.
I don't like to get wet and I don't like to get dirty.
Beth combs and brushes me everyday,
trims my hair
and I stay nice and clean.
and I stay nice and clean.
WELL, this last weekend Mike and Beth
decided I needed a bath.
I have NO idea why!
So off to Petco we went.
Beth kept saying
"we should have done this
when he was younger to get use to it"
when he was younger to get use to it"
and then I heard
"this is going to be a battle."
So -- we got there and they took me to this tub
and put me in it in
and started putting nice warm water on me.
NICE!
Then they put this nice smelling soap on me.
NICE!
After rinsing all of the soap off me they used a
BIG blow dryer on me.
WAY bigger than the one Beth has at home.
Felt really good.
Beth stood there in awe.
She could not believe how much I liked it!
AND I look and smell really good!
I started thinking after I got home
that Christmas is not far off and
I did not know what to ask for --
well, now I know.
I think I will ask Mike to add
a "little" room for me to bathe in.

Beats the metal tub at Petco.
The only thing missing is a flat screen TV.
Maybe a 60"....
that way I wouldn't have to strain my eyes.

Great story Rem! glad you liked your bath and you do look even more beautiful if that is possible. if you move to Florida you will HAVE to have a bath every week or 2 weeks, no way to skip baths here, dirt is everywhere and heat makes for dirty dogs. on second thought, don't move to Florida because you would not be able to stand the heat wih your wonderful fur. SOOO that means ASK for that present in Dec and Jan and good luck with it.

Remi: We are glad you enjoyed your bath. Muzzer says that she does not have the fireplace, but her tub does have Jets in it (football Jets?, don't know, she is strange) and you are welcome to use it when you are in the neighborhood. Me and Teka sit on the ledge and watch her, and if we are very good, she will sometimes let us in when she is finished. Wheeeeeeeeee

Rem,I, Madi, have a confession...I have ever had a bath either!!! What a nice experience that was and how good you were. All of the training Beth has done with you helped you have confidence in new things and all the places she takes you has given you lots of social skills. Did they bath you with some of Beth's special soap?

I has been having baffs since I was a wee one and I still FREAK out when I has to haves them so, you eithers like 'em or you don't. If you don't then one will nevers adjust...or at least I won't.

You look Rem! I wonder how long it took them to get you all wet, right down to your undercoat, it always takes me forever to get the boys nice and wet, especially when I think I've got it and then shake! Darn water resistant coats!
So, if you get that bathing room, can we come over and use it?

That's wonderful Remington!! You look like you enjoyed your bath very much! I'm not a bath dog myself. I don't like water and I don't like getting wet so mom has to take me to the vet or a groomer to have them bath me. I guess I've gotten use to it by now but the first time mom was embarrassed because they said I peed in my bath water! Then I did the same when they were blowing my fur dry. Of course I was only a puppy and you can get by doing things like that as a puppy. Now I just go ahead and let them do it. Hey I love that room. If we had a bathroom that looked like that one with a giant TV, it would be a fight between me and mom as to who would use it!! Pawesome looking room!! Lots of love, Holly and mom

Wow - wouldn't it be great to have a "bath"room like that one. We don't get baths very often, a good regular brushing usually takes care of things, but when our coats are really shedding, a bath and blowout of the coat is a good thing. You always look beautiful to us, Remington.

Remi, we sure don't like baths, and Meowm has only had to give one of us (Orion) a bath. She is very thankful that she had to bathe the one with fewer claws. ;)
We are very glad you liked your bath. We can't imagine how it would have been if you didn't. Did you shake a bunch of water on your Mom and Dad?
All of us like that bathroom! We like the extra large area around the tub, since we sit there and keep Meowm company while she is bathing!

Oh your first bathe!! Awesome. M.O.D. installed a new hose contraption in our shower so it is very easy for M.O.M. to give me my bath. After the last disaster at the groomer is still fresh in M.O.M.'s mind and she refuses to let anyone else bathe me.

I'm glad you liked it. I don't care for it myself, but I have them ALL the time and so does Franklin. The VET said that Pei need to. One of those little rooms might make it better. I'll run it by the humans.

As the saying goes, Remington: You sure do clean up nice. Our Husky, Katya, has never had a bath, either; we figure the way she sheds, no fur ever stays on her long enough to get really dirty!
