After a very exciting weekend with football --
I now can tell you what I did on Saturday.
We went to my favorite place --
Duluth
and stopped by my favorite lake --
Lake Superior.
The above picture is of Beth and I by the lake.
If you look very carefully you
can see a large ship in the back ground.
If you are having trouble seeing it -- here it is....
Mike has a magic button
on the camera to make things come closer to him.
Amazing!
We had a glorious day!
It was a nice brisk fall day.
The leaves were so pretty.
Don't you just love it when the leaves lose
their summer green color and
their "true" colors show!
We had a picnic and
then stopped by a
nice little coffeehouse
and got an apple muffin to share.
I had so much fun.
On the way home it was getting late
and low and behold --
there it was....
The Full Harvest Moon.
(Mike did a good job getting this picture!)
I guess being we missed it on
Thursday because of all the clouds
it came back to see me.
I love Full Moons!
So there you go!
Just wanted to share my Saturday with you.

Ah Remi, both parents are reading over my shoulder and being homesick. Their favorite place is quite close to yours...a cabin on Madeline's Island that dad helped build one summer. With the recent moves, they have missed their times there, but now you have them talking about "next year" and how much I would enjoy the visit.
We are glad you had some relaxation this weekend, and thank you for planting that seed in their heads.

Your trees are bit ahead of ours. I guess our trees are shy.. they're still hiding in their green colors. Some people are saying that they're not going to change at all this year because of the lack of rain. Can you believes that??

Rem, this is your prettiest post EVER!! I have never seen a ship so long and skinny, wonder what kind it is? And the trees! Ours haven't changed yet. But the MOON!! Better than mine!! You can even see the depth on the outer rims of the craters on the right side. SUPER job!! with owners like mike and Beth, you must be overjoyed all the time!
I can see that ship and its a big one. colors are magnificent. the photo of the moon with the tree tip in it is my favorite today. just lovely

All the trees look so beautiful. The few trees around here haven't started changing yet.
Please tell Beth that the TG has seen GK several times, but never in the same city. He came here about 4 months ago and that was the last time he saw him!

What a fabulous Saturday! It is important to take time, even from the big game, to share with family. Mom really misses red leaves since she moved to NM, not many maples here. Does Mike's magic "come closer" button work to bring friends to you? If he points it south and a little west, maybe he can bring Quinn and I for a visit...or maybe he'll get Jake and Fergie instead!
