The Name Game

My friend Frankie wanted us to play the Name Game for the 4th!
(click on his name to check out his blog)
Better late than never, right?
How we got our names....

Here goes....

Forrest
Dudley
Dudley Moore
Coleridge
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Oz
(had to add "abella" after we found out she was a girl)
Ozzy Osbourne
Beth said she heard a Black Sabbath song on her way to pick her up and thought of it....
Remington
Remy Boudreau
He was a character on a soap opera Beth loved to watch called "The Guiding Light" --
it is off the air now and she is sad....

As far as my full name --

Golden Oaks Remington Steal My Heart --

Golden Oaks is the name of the kennel where my mom and dad live
 and you know about Remington....
Steal My Heart....Beth says I tend to do that, I don't know what she means,
I have never stolen anything in my life....

So that's how we got our names....
is it what you thought?

Later -- Remington
-- do you like your name? --
out!

Oh what great name stories!!!! Forrest, Dudley and Coleridge are very handsome man cats with great namesakes. Ozabella well you know we love that little girl. OH my stars Oz and Beth are the only girls in the house. Holy cow they have their work cut out for them.

Rem Beth was 200% right about you stealing hearts. The moment Mom and I saw your face we were in love. Mom said she wanted to squeeze you tight...I said I just want to ride on his back.

I like how you got your name

My girls are named Sabrina Isabella. Sabrina is after the teenage witch show (my d got to name her). I also liked Sabrina from the movie with Audrey. (I know I'm old) The Isabella is cause she is a dark beauty. (choc lab) I call her Bella.

Madeleine Eugenie ... Maddy Jean, is named after my Grandmother Eugenie. I wanted to call her Maddy Jean and thus she got the fancy name after my French Grandma. And, is she ever a silly golden.

This is cracking me up! Just the wide disparity from so many places! The Ozzy Osbourne song story is so funny, I used to watch the reality show with Ozzy and Sharon. Poor Dudley Moore, I remember him. My first name is not so good, so Ginny is a shortened version of my middle name.

Hi Remington - FH used to love watching Remington Steel on TV, but she told us not to mention that as she says it shows her age, he he he!

We've really enjoyed Frankie's name game - it's been great finding out the story behind our pals names.

We love the back stories for all of your names. Mom thought you were named for Remington Steele, an old TV show starring the VERY handsome Pierce Brosnan...but I like Beth's choice and reason better. You are a heart stealer! Thanks for sharing.

Love your name game explanations. The only one that really surprised me was, as some others have mentioned, your name Remmy. I thought for sure you were named after the Remington Steele character.

Miss Cindi Lou Who is named after the character in How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
