"Watchful Remington"
reporting from Zone 3 observation tower
(the deck)....
View from the tower....
please note the Kitty Palace for the wild cats to have protection from the weather and to have dry food and water available....
I thought I would share pictures of some of our friends that have come to visit Zone 3 recently....Mr. Pilated
All the woodpeckers seem to like the suet we put out for them.
Mr. Raccoon
Getting a drink of water early one morning.
Mr. Oriole
He sure liked the grape jelly we gave him! I wonder if he would like it on toast?
Mr. Grey Fox
He was here at 5:00 that morning!
Missy Deer
This was taken in the winter but I just wanted to share it with you.
What is neat about all of these pictures is that Beth took them from her kitchen window!
That is why she said she doesn't need a TV.
I'll share more pictures of our friends in Zone 3 in the near future.
Later -- Remington -- Enjoying the Nature Channel without a TV -- out!

Remington, Zone 3 is so cool!!! To look out the window and see all of those animals is wonderful mom says!! She just loves it there!! We don't have that here where we live. Mom said she would probably sit by the window constantly. She hasn't see a woodpecker like that for many years and that was when she was going horseback riding way out in the country. We love it!!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

WOW!! You get lots of cool visitors! WE are very thankful that you put out shleter and goodies for all of them.
What a beautful Zone 3 you have! Do you ever get to visit it from outside the tower? My mom especially liked the bird feeder set up and kitty palace. You got her thinking over here!
Wags,
Zona
Hi Remington, we are loving Zone 3 - what cool pics.
As you say Beth would not need to watch TV. The little deer was delightful - we would go mad for that.
The woodpecker was cool and we loved the colours on the other bird - Mr Oriole.
How great of you to put out some food and water for the kitty cats. We bet they appreciate that loads although perhaps don't always remember their manners and say thank you!
love
Martha and Bailey xxx

Oh Remmmington your Mom got much better pictures of the critters and birds than ours.. Guess she needs to camp out right under the bird feeder. The deer was way off in the field but Mom had to take the picture...

Wow, what a nice back yard....er, Zone 3! All the animals were great - except I think I might have be a little wary of the fox. Beth and Mike are so cool taking care of all the animals in your yard!!
You have a zoo in your own backyard. That is pawesome!
Love,
Teddy Bear
I agree with Beth! Who needs a TV when you've got a kitchen window? If I had that much wildlife in my yard I would be snapping pictures all day long! How lucky you are to have all of that entertainment every day! I certainly hope you are careful when you see the deer and the raccoon and the fox though!
Hey, did you know that on Monday I started a BOOK GIVEAWAY? The contest ends on Saturday at 5pm so hurry on over to my blog for details!
Thanks fur sharing your wild kingdom with us!

Rem -
Zone 3 is very cool. The only "wild" animals we see here in the city are the seals as we pass through the zoo at Central Park on the way to the Boathouse Cafe for breakfast (is it Saturday yet?)
Cool wildlife...How do you keep squirrels out of your feeders?
What an excellent nature show outside your window. We love watching all of our furry neighbors, too.
Wow!!! What a window! Can we trade!?! Just gorgeous pictures - thank you so much for posting them!
My favorite one .... sigh ... is the first one. Oh, Remington, you look SO handsome!
Love,
Ammy
Who needs television when you have such a magnificent show going on right outside your window! You live in a very magical place, Remington.
You've practically got a zoo in zone 3!
Wow! Remington, this is a really cool zone. It is so wonderful that your family provides food, water and shelter for the wild creatures. The photos are fabulous.
Remington, you have your own version of Wild Kingdom in your own yard. Mom saw a fox in our yard this week too. She has it on video but it is so dark that the quality is really poor.
Thanks for sharing all the beautiful creatures.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
WONDERFUL pictures!!! Love the Pilated Woodpecker, I've only seen Red-Bellied and Downey woodies here. Love the grey fox, too! How fun to see so much wildlife from your window!
Luv,
Cloud and his mom
