NOT FAIR!

As most of you have heard....my friend, Jack (click on his name to check it out....), is planning to come and live with me.  So Beth said we had to make the house presentable for him.  I guess that means I have to dust....
I don't know if any of you have ever had to do this awful task but it is hard work.  And besides that it is Coleridge's chore....not mine!  But he is just laying around doing nothing!
I had been at it for about 8 1/2 seconds and I could hardly stand it anymore!
I just had to take a rest!
Beth kept after me and I finally got it all done!
Now the house is "presentable" for when Jack shows up.
Beth said I did such a GOOD job that maybe that should be one of my regular chores.  I must of had a look of shock on my face when she said that because when I looked at Coleridge -- this is what I saw....

Not funny, Coleridge!

Later -- Remington -- I do not want to dust any more -- out!

You did such a great job and the look on Coleridge's said it all - you are an amazing dog.

Remington,

From what I can see your house looks very neat and tidy....great job! Do you do windows? :)

PS Coleridge looks like a very nice kitty

Rem you are absolutely the most multi-talented fellow we know!!! Now Coleridge...uuuummmm....he appears to be snoopervising all your hard work.
You should demand 2 banana splits after dusting under duress!!

we don't bother. dust bunnies are part of our family!

Isn't that just like a cat to lounge around "supervising"?

The dusting will be worth it .. you'll have an awesome time with Jack!

Amazing! And muzzer says you can drop by our house any time. We have dust bunnies worthy of a doggie your size!

I don't have to dust butt I do have to do Floors. You did a pawsome job. It looks very much hard.
Now that Coleridge guy... I think he gave you one of those nasty raspberry thingys... Pbbbbbbt.
I don't think you should have to endure that kind of treatment.

I hate to dust, too, Remy! It just comes back again!
You get banana splits?! You lucky dude!

She is torturing you isn't she ?

Maybe you could use your tail to dust ... Maddy Jean, my Golden, sure knows how to swipe things off a coffee table with her tail.

I can't believe your cat didn't help you .. LOL ... of course not ... cat rule and dogs drool.

So when is Jack coming over ?

You sure are doing a great job of dusting Remington!! Why is the cat on the floor rolling around and sticking it's tongue out at you? Not fair! Next time make the cat do the dusting and you lay around and supervisor!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

Arran, Arthur and Mum said...

Now that you got so good at that, you could come dust my house if you likes?

Unknown said...

Well it sure looks like you did a good job anyway! I'd say it was time to bite that cats tongue now!!!

I think your time would be better spent preparing peanut butter nommy treats and whatnot. I don't really know Coleridge, but he looks like he could do some dusting. Just spray a little endust on him and let him roll around the house.

Rem, I/we are with you. Dusting is over-rated. Why dust when one swat of your tail can clean any surface?

Nadine, Chewy and Lilibell said...

Remington, you did such a good job with dusting, Mom was wondering if you could come over and do our house??

And that cat, how dare he stick his tongue out at you, he should be doing his share of the housework instead of lazing around and snoopervising you!!

Wow! You dust?? That's amazing. I'm sure my G-Mom would love to have you over to our house to dust. She hates it. I have never tried. It would be kinda hard since I am a teeny dawg.
Have fun with Jack!

Dusting is the worst chore ever! I hope you don't get stuck doing it again!
Have fun with Jack! I think Darwin wants to come for a visit too! You get the best treats!

Oh, the nerve of that kitty! My goodness! I don't know how you deal with that, my friend...

By the way, thanks for voting for me in the bath contest!

Hey Remsters, you are such a good 'duster' maybe you could come over and dust our house!! We pay in dog food....what's your price my man? We won't snoopervise...too much....we are really lousy dusters unless to be a 'duster' means to put dust everywhere in which case we are REALLY good!! haha!! Purrs to you and Coleridge from Lautrec and Tiny

Hey Remy,
Our cats always find a way to scatter when it's time to do chores, in fact so do the kids!

Jack will be so happy that you went to all the trouble to clean for him.
As for Coleridge......I think it's time for a kitty time out for not doing what he was asked.

I agree that all your hard work deserves a banana split. I had some peanut butter and banana toast for breakfast today and it sure was wonderful.

Take care, say Hi to Jack for me and have a great day.
Your BroLeo.

Bruschi said...

BOL! A whole 8 and 1/2 seconds! Wow that would make me want to quit dusting too! Glad you managed to get it all done, but that evil kitty of yours really has some nerve! Silly kitty!!

Gail Wilson said...

I have heard M.O.M. saw that if would be an advantage if I did have a longer tail so I could at least dust the coffee table and the low shelves and such. And after reading your dilemma I sure am glad I have just a stub of a tail!
But I hope you have a wonderful time with Jack. Hugs and wags, Mistaya

MOL!...Our Mommy says cleaning is no fun, so we try to nap through it when we're not running to hide from the big sucking machine...Good job Rem; Coleridge is a silly kitty!...Get some rest sweetie...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

I've never dusted anything in my life. In fact, I do just the opposite. You did a really good job it seems, but it looks like maybe Coleridge is the smart one. You're a very good doggie, though, and I know Jack will have a blast with you.

the booker man said...

ewww, dusting?! remington, i think that is totally lame-o. i think you should hide all the dust cloths so you nevarrr have to dust again!

Remington,
Maybe you can make a deal. Trade the dusting for ummm like...cleanin..off the table, or cleanin...floors, or help clean the dishes!! That stuff sure beats dustin...If nothing else works, start sneezing and go with the allergy bit from the dust, it works every time!! Good luck BUd.

Oh, and your photo yesterday is superb - gosh, you are SO patient!! Schnauzer snuggles - JD and Max.

I don't think Jack would have minded the dust...Quinn certainly didn't when he came to live with us. Maybe Coleridge would have a different idea if the NEXT time you did your dusting using HIM as the "swiffer!"
