Now I am happy!

Yesterday, as I told you, Beth and I sat on the deck and she read to me.  Well, she read The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie!  NOT my type of book!  So I asked if we could discuss this....I told her that I would like to have my very own books to read and that we could read silently or we could take turns reading to each other.  She thought the was a GREAT idea.  Off in the van we went and she bought me a whole set -- SIX new SpongeBob books!

So today we are on the deck reading silently!  I love my new books!

This one is so good I just can't stop reading it!  I bet I will have it finished before Mike comes home!

Later -- Remington -- the literary Newfie -- out!

Rem I expect in just days, 'Rem's Book Club' will be 100% more popular than Oprah's!!! What a lovely way to spend the day reading on the deck.
We hop you have a great day. Mom loves to read too. She is thrilled to see you reading and hopes all the boys and girls in blog land will visit their local library or bookstore ASAP!!

Thank you for sharing your readings with us, Remington! And I am sure Beth is enjoying her book too, thanks for letting us know what she is reading. We like to know what everyone is reading! Why? Because we are very nosy!! There is a doggie day care in Anchorage where they read to the doggies too! Our late brother and sister went there and Ina told us it was very nice and they liked being read to. xoxoxo

Wow, I think you are the smartest Newfie that I know! I am Most Impressed. I tried to get Remi to read once, but he just ate the book. Not quite what I was hoping for. Oh well.

Rem we just knew you had asked Star for Date night!! Just take a deep breath and do it....

You should start a doggy reading service and teach the other doggies who don't know how to read!!

And here's what is said under Useless Knowledge:
The typical kangaroo is 40 percent brighter than the smartest dog or cat.

Well, not only is that useless, it's got to be made up! :)

Oh those look like great books you have there! We don't have any books of our own, and we think it is very cool that you have some of your own (we would probably not read them and just chew them anyway, because paper is very tasty).

How did you learn to read Remington? I know my colors, but not to read yet. :)

When I was in the slammer, my mom read the book Starship Troopers to me. She came and read to me every day until she was allowed to take me home. She named me after Drill SGT Zim! I LOVE reading!!!

That sounds totally fair...you need your own books, too. Although if it was me, I'd insist on squeaky toys to play with while Mom reads.

I love to read and to be read to, also! I have a collection of my own books but sometimes mom chooses books she thinks we both might enjoy...like ask Beth to read The Art of Driving in the Rain about a wanna be race driver and his loyal dog (Enzo)and his BIG family troubles. You will both enjoy it, I promise!
